Objectives
The course intends to equip students with updated knowledge of modern materials management concepts and aims to develop their functional expertise in the store and purchase management discipline. To increase the profitability of industry, the Course intends to prepare the fleet of students equipped with latest tools and techniques of materials management so that they can face the challenges arising out of present scenario of competitiveness due to globalization of economy.
Duration of the Course
The duration of the course is three years.
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's Degree Under 10+2+3 Pattern. Lateral Entry Scheme for GDMM Students of IIMM - Students who have successfully completed the graduate
- Diploma in Materials Management 2 year (Regular) or 3 year (Correspondence) from IIMM will be given admission directly in the final year of MBA (MM).
MBA (Materials Management) Lateral Entry (Direct in III year of MBA (MM)
Duration
The duration of the lateral course is one year.
Examinations
Each paper will carry 100 marks. Assignments will carry 30% marks and Theory paper for each subject will carry 70% marks.
Eligibility Criteria
A graduate of any recognized university is eligible for appearing in an entrance examination which will be conducted by the University at all IIMM Centers and Regional Centers of the University for finalizing admission to the courses.
Entrance Examination
The University and IIMM will jointly conduct an entrance examination at all IIMM Centers and Regional Centers of the University. The list of IIMM Centers and Regional Centers are given in the last page of this program guide. The entrance examination will be of 90 min. duration. Entrance Examination shall be comprising of four parts i.e., Language Skill, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness and General Reasoning
The student desiring to appear in the entrance examination will have to deposit an entrance examination fee of Rs. 350/- payable by Bank Draft (in favor of Registrar Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University, Bhopal) at the time of submission of the completed application from provided in this program guide at the IIMM Centre or Regional Centre concerned.

Examinations
Examinations will be conducted by the MP Bhoj (open) University at all the centers of the IIMM and Regional Centers of MP Bhoj (open) University.
Fee Structure
Annual fee for MBA Materials Management is Rs. 10,000 payable at the time of admission.
Assignments
- The assignment will be provided to students during the session. 30% weightage will be given to each paper.
- The assignment shall be submitted by the candidates in the intervening months.
- These assignment will serve as feedback and will be counted towards internal assessment in each paper.
- Assignment may be deposited at their study centers with in schedule.
Study Material
At the start of every year study material will be provided to the students by M P Bhoj (Open) University through IIMM centers before counseling. Students are advised to contact the head of the Study Centers/Regional Director from time to time.
Induction Meeting
Soon after the completion of the process of admission, there will be an induction meeting at the IIMM Study Centers in the beginning of the session. The course material will be provided to the student in such meetings. The details of contact classes, assignment and term end examinations would be explained to the students in the induction meeting. It is therefore extremely important to the student to attend the induction meeting. The date for which will be notified by the concerned centers.
Academic support during the session
During the session the student shall be provided counseling through contact classes and video sessions. The schedule of contact classes and other academic activities will be made available by the respective IIMM Centre and Regional Centre of the University. The assignment in the form of TMA will also be made available at the IIMM Centers.
